Lactopack is a brand created jointly by the companies LB Lact BAS and VIA Investment, with the idea of combining modern scientific achievements and the production of functional dairy products. LB Lact BAS is a Bulgarian research laboratory for the application of milk and dairy products, specializing in the development of two product lines: starter cultures and probiotic products. The laboratory has a rich collection of lactic acid bacteria (LAB), selected over more than 60 years. Most of the strains have been collected in ecologically clean regions and participate in the fermentation process of authentic Bulgarian products.

The LB Lact BAS laboratory was founded by Prof. Maria Baltadzhieva. She is a recognized scientist in the field of lactobacteriology and has been awarded a Certificate and a Gold Badge by the Council of European Scientific Culture. Prof. Maria Baltadzhieva has dedicated more than 60 years to the development of food science and is a pioneer in the development of probiotic products on a global scale. As the head of LB Lact BAS, she has created a team with unique expertise!
